The much awaited Nexus phones which had been in the news for leaked pictures and rumored branding have finally been launched by Google. The two models Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P have been unveiled by the company under the flagship of LG and Huawei respectively.

The much talked about models have been designed to provide an unparallel experience to users. With the latest android software installed in an innovative hardware structure, these Nexus models are sure to bring a revolution in Google’s reputation. The devices work on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and have specific hardware feature to support the Nexus Imprint fingerprint sensor as well as USB Type-C ports. The fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone is said to capture an imprint in even less than 600 milliseconds. Google has also powered the devices with the Android Sensor Hub which is a processor much similar to Apple’s M9 Coprocessor. This low power processor will enhance the working of the devices and have advanced features like glance notifications.
With a 5.2 inch full HD Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display, the Nexus 5X has a 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC and a LPDDR3 RAM of 2 GB. The rear and front camera are 12 MP and 5 MP respectively. You also get an option for slow motion video recording that captures 120 frames per second. The front camera has an f/2.0 aperture. A 2700 mAh battery will provide an excellent battery backup and also features quick charge support. The phone is available in three color variants namely Carbon Black, Quartz White, and Ice Blue. You will have an option to choose from two storage variants, i.e. 16 and 32 GB models.


The Nexus 6P looks stunning with its full metallic aluminum body, featuring a huge 5.7 inch Corning Gorilla Glass 4 screen with 1440x2560 pixels. This beast features a 2GHz
octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC and 3GB of LPDD4 RAM thus giving you an unmatched user experience. The 3450 mAh battery with quick charge support will provide a battery backup of up to 7 hours with just 10 minutes of charging. Crisp shots with a 12.3 MP rear camera with 4K and the beautiful slow motion video recording with 240 frames per second make it a perfect device for capturing memories. This device is available in three color and internal memory variants namely Frost White, Aluminum, Graphite and 32, 64, 128 GB models.


Pre-orders for the Nexus devices have started on October 29th in Japan, Germany, the UK, Ireland, and the US. The devices will be available via the Google store. Pricing had been set for the devices. The nexus 5X has been priced from $379 for the 16 GB model whereas the Nexus 6P starts from $499 for the 32 GB model. The company would begin shipping the devices somewhere down in the month of October.
Both the models will come with a free subscription (90 days) to the Google Play Music. Also, users Google Play account will be credited with $50. The company has added an extended warranty plan for the devices. The plan priced at $69 and $89 for Nexus 5X and 6P respectively would cover mechanical breakdown for a period of 2 years. Accidental damage will not be considered though.
The new Nexus models are sure to become a hit in the market. Google also declared that they would soon roll out the latest android version to the existing Nexus devices.
